I believe the key to great portraits is capturing the subject looking natural. Spending time before the shoot with my subject to explain my process helps them to know what to expect and feel more comfortable and relaxed, which in turn makes the shooting a breeze. I also give direction as needed to help clients look their best, and can offer hair and makeup styling. All of this takes a bit more time than the average photo shoot, but the quality of the results make it all worthwhile.
